This foundation-level course is ideal for dogs new to search work or owners looking to introduce structured training.
Over four private sessions, you will cover:
- Reinforcer and motivation assessment
- Development of a clear indication behaviour (sit, down, or freeze)
- Introduction to the focus wall
- Structured search foundations
- Practical homework to build consistency between sessions
This programme gives you the tools and understanding to confidently continue training at home.
his extended programme is recommended for those wanting a more complete progression into controlled scent work.
This programme includes everything within the 4-week course, plus:
- Refinement of indication behaviour (duration and clarity)
- Structured wall searches with varied hide placement
- Introduction to scent pairing
- Controlled search scenarios with clear final indication
- Introduction to basic room search patterns and handler movement
- Handler coaching and progression planning
